WAR ON TERROR.

It was New york on 9/11 and Mumbai on 26/11 .Terror struck mumbai on 26/11 as a result of ruthless attack by some terrorists.Almost 60 hours of continuous effort saw mumbai getting back to normalcy.And heroes of this process were the commandoes,police and the whole defence force who risked their lives to serve the nation and save the innocent hostages.Some laid down their life in the process.Unfortunately one of them was drawn into controversy with a politician.However the brave soldiers deserve respect.A war on terror has to be declared as some of the media persons have always done.As it is said God takes birth on Earth when adharma grows.

BETTER THAN THE BEST.

The formidable Indian cricket team with a dynamic captain leading from the front proved its mettle against the aussies who were till recently regarded as the invincibles.India proved to be better than the so called best team(aussies) .It was worth watching as all the team members joined hands together and fought it out with the single aim in mind and managed to succeed.The Australian captain had to admit that they were completely outplayed.The series concluded 2-0 in India's favour.

A SPECIAL OLYMPICS FOR INDIA

This has been an undoubtedly special olympics for India at Beijing. 08.08.08 08:08:08(8th august 2008,8:08:08 pm) witnessed the inaugaural ceremony of the beijing olympics and the number 8 was supposed to be the lucky number for China.It seems to be working for India as well.Creating history,India have bagged 3 medals as of now.It is the first time in history that India won more than one individual medal.India started her medal hunt by bagging an individual gold medal through Abhinav Bindra which was first of its sort.Following Abhinav Bindra,two more have made the nation proud.Sushil Kumar won a medal in wrestling and Vijender Singh in boxing.Though both were bronze medals,they have to be congratulated for their hardwork .Before winding up,the effort put in by others (including supporting staff)also have to be appreciated.In badminton,tennis and so on ,India came close to winning a medal.Kudos to everyone for upholding the pride of the nation.

My College

Hi everybody…..I am a student of Government engineering college,barton hill,trivandrum.It is situated in the heart of trivandrum city.the college was started in 1999 in old barton hill school campus.It has the kerala university library ,Public library etc nearby which adds on to the reading facilities provided by the college library.A few stadiums are also available nearby.Another noteworthy factor is that our college is probably the closest to the kerala university building.As our college is young,its infrastructure is not up to the mark.But it needs to be said that construction works are continuing and temporary arrangement is done in the College of engineering

Hats off to Abhinav Bhindra

Abhinav bhindra,the young shooter have upheld the pride of our nation by earning the golden medal at the Beijing olympics.This is really a golden moment as mentioned rightly by the Indian PM Dr.Manmohan singh.Though,he is just in the mid twenties,the fact that he has been awarded the highest award to a sportsman(THE RAJIV GANDHI KHEL RATNA) apart from many other medals and laurals,simply speaks for him.His gesture after winning the gold was simply of that of a champion.He is undoubtedly a champion,not only in shooting,but also in academic part which has also been proved.This great effort has to be appreciated without doubt.Abhinav Bhindra fulfilled the dream of billion and more people..............kudos for that
